The power of volunteering

This weekend I swapped running shoes for a crew t-shirt and proudly joined the volunteer crew at Ultra-Trail Snowdonia by UTMB — and I absolutely loved it.

I came to support others, and left with a full heart. There’s something incredibly powerful about being part of a team that helps make a world-class trail event happen – from cheering at aid stations to witnessing the grit and determination of every runner on the course.

Snowdonia itself was breathtaking, but it’s the UTS community – the runners, the organisers, the volunteers – that truly makes it unforgettable. Massive thanks to Team AS03, the wider UTS crew, and every runner who passed through our station. You’re all phenomenal.

Volunteering reminded me that giving back to this community is just as rewarding as crossing a finish line. To be honest I am totes emosh about the whole thing! I’ll be back next year — orange and proud. 🧡
